Up, Up and E3 Away!
There’s one thing I’ve always wanted to do since.. well.. since I’ve been into video games. I’ve always wanted to go to E3. This is awesome because I’m going to E3. I’m at E3. E3 is happening and I’m totally there.
I’m sat in a sweet L.A Hotel right now getting ready to collect my passes and prepare for 3 days of mental video game announcements, demos and interviews. I’m beyond excited. I feelĀ privilegedĀ and green.
It also follows a huge milestone in my life. As most of you already know, I’ve accepted a staff writer job at MCV. I won’t be waving goodbye to this blog or my freelance writing but I’ll begin to write about video game trade which is something I’ve never done before. I’m nervous but it’s an exciting step in my journalism career and I’m going to learn a whole lot. I start in July so keep an eye out.
Back to E3. I’ll be covering Microsoft and Nintendo as well as checking out some demos of most anticipated games at the show *cough* TOMB RAIDER *cough*.
Depending on internet connectivity in the conference halls, I’ll try to live blog/tweet about it.

Make sure you see Far Cry 3
Most journos seem so terribly jaded about privileges like that – don’t ever lose your enthusiasm.
