AGT: Making 3DS Streetmates

You got a 3DS? That’s pretty neat. You have no friends? OH NOES! It’s a shame that we will never be friends cuz I’m so popular and cool and you’re looking at a guide on the internet on how to make friends If you really want you can pretend we’re REAL friends by adding me to your Mii plaza or stalking me in the middle of the night. I’d rather you do the latter <3 <3

BUT you’re here for my help and I have nothing but useful life tips to spam your way. I don’t think you’re ready for this jelly!

STEP ONE: GO OUTSIDE
Normally I wouldn’t advise you to go outside. It’s fucking mental out there! But Nintendo are all about this walking gimmick and you should really give it a go. Walking earns you coins so you can BUY friends on the Street Pass HERO quest, just like a Russian bride. They’re good at spending coins too.

STEP TWO: FIND A POPULATED AREA
Who loves Nintendo apart from middle aged men? KIDZ DO! Why not pop down to your local school and stand by the gates at playtime? This will be the perfect time to not only make easy Street Pass hits on your 3DS but also to try figure out which person the Mii belongs to.

STEP THREE: LEVELLING UP THAT MII
Now you have some new friends. Isn’t that wonderful? You know what is better than a friend? A best friend! Best friends play together all the time and their Mii will level up each time you see them. This means you should pick out your favourite new Mii and go find the owner. You could just wait outside the school every day but what about the weekends? Your best bet is to follow them home so you can walk past their house on the weekends to get that precious hit.

STEP FOUR: GAINING MULTIPLE HITS IN A DAY
You could find another school or a train station but nothing is better than your new best friend. You’ll want to get as many hits with that person as possible. Did you know that you can re-catch the same Mii after about two or three hours? The best way to do this is by hanging out with your new BFF all day. Make sure to open up your 3DS and play the mini-games before closing your console again. You should change up your Mii so you match your new friend! Both wearing Mario hats? Über cool.

STEP FIVE: PLAYING ONLINE WITH YOUR NEW FRIEND
Now you’ve mastered how to get Street Pass hits on your 3DS. There is plenty more to do with your new glasses-free™ 3D console. Why not play online with your new BFF? Hopefully you’ve already been having Street Fighter trophy battles. You should take it to the next level with online play. You’ll need to get their friend code and also have them add you to their 3DS. You could rummage through their rubbish and hope to find a friend code written down but you might not find anything but some precious crayon drawings. Why not approach your new friend on their way home? Or – if you’re super shy like me – you could sneak into their bedroom while they are having dinner and pop your code into their console. Now you’ll know whenever they are playing their 3DS and join them in online battles!
